The Foundation
Mario Tobino Foundation was created in March 2006 aiming to preserve, enhance and above all to develop the important cultural heritage of Mario Tobino’s work.
The Foundation intends to bring to light the events of the hospital of Fregionaia since its beginning, to reacquire the historical memory of an entire community, to stimulate the critical study of Tobino’s writings and at the same time to promote both the national and regional debate, that is intended to project the future of the psychiatric help.
Mario Tobino Foundation has started a systematic work of cataloguing of the entire material concerning the life and work of the great writer as well: the first important results are already available in the multimedia archive at the venue of the Foundation in Maggiano.
